October 9th marked Ageism Awareness Day. Jewish Family Services shares the American Society on Aging’s message on the importance of breaking down barriers between generations. Ending ageism requires people of all ages to work together—but age-based stereotypes often keep us apart. We may dismiss or avoid those older or younger than us, limiting connection and collaboration.
Jewish Family Services is committed to breaking down barriers of ageism within our organization and throughout the community. We believe that every generation has wisdom, perspective, and value to share—and that meaningful connection across ages strengthens us all.
