On June 13, the State of Israel declared that “people like a lion arises” and announced a precision defensive operation aimed at neutralizing, once and for all, the Iranian threat. Long known as the mastermind and the chief sponsor of Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terror proxies, Iran has for decades verbally and through its proxies continued to threaten Israel’s existence and peace in the Middle East.

The operation dubbed Rising Lion is a necessary step to protect not just Israel but also global stability.

In response, Iranian missiles have taken aim at Israeli population centers—with some hitting their intended targets, destroying tens of buildings, whole neighborhoods, and leaving thousands of Israelis without homes.

Jewish Federations are on the ground and on the frontlines.
We are working tirelessly with our core partners to deliver critical support:

  • Emergency aid for victims of missile strikes
  • Assistance for the civilian population taking sheltering in public facilities
  • Support for vulnerable populations who require special services to remain protected
  • Trauma relief and mental health services in both the immediate and long term
  • Fostering community resilience in an Israel under fire
  • Partnering with the people of Israel for a strong future

Now, more than ever, Israel needs us. And we need you.
