Join us for a special Kristallnacht commemoration featuring a screening of Max (2002), starring John Cusack as Max Rothman, a Jewish art dealer and World War I veteran who forms a complex relationship with a young, struggling artist named Adolf Hitler in postwar Germany. The film explores the intersections of art, identity, and ideology during a time of deep social unrest and rising antisemitism.
Following the screening, Rabbi Gabe Miner will lead a discussion reflecting on the film’s themes and their resonance with the lessons and legacy of Kristallnacht.
